Leafletted for Obama in Washington Heights, NYC, this past Sunday
We had two teams, one at B'Way-181st street, one at St.Nicholas-181st Street. Handed out over 300 flyers in Spanish and English. Lots of enthusiastic expressions of support, requests for posters, bumper stickers, etc. We signed up additional volunteers.

One lovely woman showed us a flyer she had made up herself - written in pen, it said "Obama for President Yes We Can! God Bless Obama." She had run off copies of that and was going to hand them out in her neighborhood.

It was cold, but still a pretty busy day on that commercial strip of 181st street. Next week, we'll be in Jackson Heights. I think the poll showing Obama within the MOE with Hillary in New York City is right on, based on my experience.

1. I lived there for six months
nice neighborhood, right by the bridge. Heck of a long train ride from Penn Station though.

3. I will vote for Obama in the general
but I hope that you and his supporters in the primaries can get more details on how he will actually govern.

I fear that he will be another Colin Powell.

8. I like Obama and will
happily vote for any of our top three in the election. That said, he's gonna get his ass kicked in New York - not here in the city, but the rest of the state.

10. Certainly he will in the state overall get his ass kicked
He could do well in the city, but I don't expect him to win the primary.

9. God I hate Obama Leaflets lol
I volunteered at the NJ Headquarters last week and I had to put Feb 5 primary stickers on them lol. It felt like I did a million of them. But hey thats better than phone banking.

Heraldsqure your right about people wanting pens and buttons. This one guy in Jersey City asked a Phone Banker if he could have a button.
