John Edwards is running the most ethical campaign right now.

I feel this for many reasons, but on my mind right now is this whole debate over economic stimulus packages. I can't believe that in an election year, virtually every candidate is promising to send rebate checks of various amounts. They are making the case that if you vote for them, you're going to get a check, and you're going to a check, and you're going to get a check..

It was unethical and irresponsible when Bush did it in 2000, and it's every bit as wrong now. There's no guarantee that these checks will do anything to stimulate the economy, even in the very short term. It comes across as the worst, sleaziest kind of pandering.

I think Edwards should be applauded for not jumping on this particular bandwagon.
