If I Were Clinton, I Wouldn't Even Campaign In South Carolina
I'd move right to the Super Tuesday states and spend the next two weeks campaigning from New York to Florida.

Just concede South Carolina to Obama and let him and Edwards fight it out. Treat it like it doesn't even matter.

That way, if Obama wins, like he should do in that state, she can marginalize it and say 'who cares, I didn't campaign there anyway.'

I think it would be a smart strategy for her.

1. That would be stupid and insulting and the Clintons aren't in the habit of insulting black people.

6. yeah
Bill said he was going to spend the next week in South Carolina going door to door in black churches to win black votes.

The Clinton's will fight for South Carolina, if for no other reason than to repair hard feelings for the general election.

13. "Repair hard feelings?" If he hasn't done anything to "repair" why
would he go through the trouble?

2. Unfortunately, right now "Clinton" is TWO people...
...who can divide and be in two states at once.

An unfair advantage, but the backlash hasn't started yet...

3. No, she cannot do that.
She needs to campaign there because when she wins the nomination, she needs the black vote and if she doesn't show up there, it will be bad news for her.

4. They aren't allowed to campaign in Florida
We moved our primary up to January 29th, so we lost all our delegates and the candidates agreed not to campaign in "non-compliant" states. I'm not really sure how exactly that works, but there haven't been any Dems in Florida since then.

7. oh yeah
I forgot about that.

Well, she still would have a lot of other states she can campaign in between now and then.

5. Thank for your concern.
Your helpfulness is much appreciated.

Obama is THAT scared? No reason to be. That divide and conquer racism schtick worked beautifully.

8. She's a big girl and a loss for her in SC is nothing in the scheme
of things. That deck seems to be stacked. I bet she'll at least come out second. Why should she not take the silver as Mittens says?

10. she could place second without campaigning
why bother spending time and money in the state if you don't have to.

Stop in once, shake some hands, and move on to the Super Tuesday states.

14. She will be there, because all her life she has fought for the
black community. Why would you think she should just start ignoring them now? She may very well lose that state but it will not be a bitter loss for her.

12. you wish. :D It's ok to lose a state, but she's still going to let people know...
who she is and what she stands for. being a close 2nd is great.

15. I don't think she can win, but she may be able to get it to single digits...
which would be a boost for the campaign.
