"Candidate A" says he eats babies for breakfast

The opponents of Candidate A come forward with disgust that he admits it...never mind that he actually does it.
The supporters of Candidate A come forward and tell the opponents that they are full of shit...anyone with a REAL brain would know that he actually meant he FEEDS babies for breakfast. THEY know what Candidate A means (even though it hasn't been clarified) and the entire world is STUPID for not realizing it.

The point of it is...the entire point gets lost between the horror of the opponents and the blind faith of the supporters.

Candidate A is NOT a good choice for President but his supporters are so deeply dug in that they refuse to see the forest for the trees.

By the way....WHO is Candidate A?

Except that I usually don't miss the point of such debates - in this case :

"eating babies is wrong"
