I voted for Kucinich in MI primary
Edited on Wed Jan-16-08 07:37 AM by LuckyTheDog
Obama and Edwards were not on the ballot. I knew Hillary would win. I just could not bring myself to vote uncommitted. And, after hearing Kucinich on the radio, I decided that I wanted to contribute to keeping his message alive.

Kucinich will never be president. But he is a good man and I was glad to vote for him. I'll be equally glad to vote in the general election for the eventual Democratic nominee.

:dem:

1. Sorry but it was made perfectly clear by their campaigns

That a vote for uncommitted was a vote for them.

3. Not necessarily true, though
And frankly, if they wanted my vote, they should have kept their names on the ballot.

2. Never say never
When people realize that mandatory health insurance is going to be like mandatory auto insurance, ever increasing rates for less coverage, higher deductibles and out of pocket expenses, higher the risk (as in existing conditions) the higher your rate, they choose where you can go and how much they'll pay, etc.

It's a crime that Americans have to pay to be healthy. Even a poor communist dictatorship like Cuba thinks their people deserve free health care. But I guess we're lucky because we have the freedom to complain about it in public :sarcasm:

4. Be careful saying 'free'
Health care is never free. But, I like to point out that countries with universal coverage spend less of their GDPs on health care than we do -- and get better results.

12. True, not actually "free"
But paying say an extra $500 a year in taxes versus $500 a month plus high co-pays and deductibles is a much better option.

5. And I will vote for him on Feb 5
Because he best represents my views. If enough folks took the time to look at the issues, I suspect he would be doing much better in the polls and at the polls.

7. I am voting for him on March 4
(A birthday present for myself.)

Keep in mind, we elect DELEGATES, not candidates, in primaries. More Kucinich delegates will help to get the progressive values he stands for into the platform.

8. I will vote for Kucinich on 1/29.
Early voting is underway now in FL, but I insist on a paper ballot. (only available on election day).
