I am deleting because it really was self indulgent and I really am not like that, or try not to be most times.

So sorry to everyone, we really need to put this behind us for the sake of America, not just the Democratic Party.

2. That was the precise truth
His campaign didn't inject race into the debate. REV CLYBURN made the comment about Hillary and MLK. Had nothing to do with Obama's campaign.

7. There was a clip on Hardball
Where Obama pointed out that his campaign had never said anything about the MLK remark.

17. Today's response, yes
I'm responding to your OP about interjecting race and MLK. His campaign never criticized Hillary. It came from Rev Clyburn who is not affiliated with any campaign.

16. I think the media...
loves this. On Hardball a big deal was made of (again) the mention of Obama's cocaine use. I have his book, read it, loved it...and I don't have a problem with most drugs anyway since the worst of them are prescriptions. BUT...for those dems who don't know this about Obama I think it's better they find out now then in the general. We scream at the mere mention of it. Does anyone here think that the repubs aren't going to be blaring it 24/7?????

19. Not the drug use
It's the implication that he was a drug dealer, doing who knows what, trying to turn him into a gang banging drug dealer.

22. Nobody from Hillary's team has said that!!
Robert Johnson didn't say that. It's media fabrication stirring the pot.

25. Billy Shaheen did
And they won't let the remarks die, they keep going on with the innuendo, reintroducing it every chance they get.

Shaheen said Obama's candor on the subject would "open the door" to further questions. "It'll be, 'When was the last time? Did you ever give drugs to anyone? Did you sell them to anyone?'" Shaheen said. "There are so many openings for Republican dirty tricks. It's hard to overcome."

5. Please let the race issue go. Clinton supporters were demanding that he...
...come out and defend Hillary and Bill. He has done this. Now it is time for you to let this go.

It's great that he did it. Would have been much better if, like the Biden
incident, he squashed it right away.

15. I'm in good company cali. I have a right to my opinion, just as much as you do
and now because you folks finally realize something that was so ludicrous to begin with you want kiss and make up. If people weren't so rude, I might be able to do that with out making a last comment.

But this will be be my last post on this topic, because I do happen to know how bad this is for our country, not just obama's campaign.

Hopefully this will never come up again. People should be ashamed of themselves for calling the clintons racists, and race baiters.

21. there were many people on this board, who want to discuss
things intelligently. And when we spoke about the same things obama told all of his supporters today, we were called racists, and race baiters.

It didn't feel very good and it was nasty.
