Would a racial mini-war between Clinton and Obama hurt Obama's chances?
If racial tensions escalate between Clinton and Obama, I wouldn't be so sure it would hurt Clinton the most.
So far, Obama's campaign has been colorless. He appeals to everybody. White, black, Latinos. His followers have not resorted to racial arguments.

But now we see some reverends and black leaders attempt to create some racial tension by assigning racial undertones to some of Hillary Clinton's comments.

I am a New Yorker, and I know how much whites hate Al Sharpton, whose main focus is on race divisions.

Racial tensions would likely increase black support towards Obama, but IMO, many whites would begin to feel the division and embrace the top white candidate: Hillary Clinton.

My advice to Obama's supporters is to cry racism only when comments by other candidates are racist beyond reasonable doubt.
Accusing Clinton of racism because her husband said Obama's candidacy is a "fairy tale" won't cut it, and will alienate the important white vote.

1. "beyond reasonable doubt"
This seems to imply that there's been some crying of wolf.

2. The partisanship engendered would hurt the Democratic Party, just as it is tearing DU apart
Not good for anyone.

4. What mini-war?
Obama hasn't been involved in any of this. It's between Clinton and members the black community. DU supporters of Obama aren't official arms of the campaign.

I give this post a 5.8 out of 6.0 for racist cliches. Mentioning Al Sharpton was a big plus, but you hit just shy of a perfect score, because you forgot to say "playing the race card", a required element for Bullshit Racist DU Posts in the short program.

I think you really have a shot at the gold in the long program, though. Keep your eye on the prize!

5. No advantage to the Clintons there.
They're suddenly "racists" because of SC. It's both transparent and desperate from Obama's camp. Get the attention back on the suffering messiah.

6. Correction -- Bill Clinton didn't say Obama's candidacy is a fairy tale.
He said that the idea that Obama's position on the war is significantly different from Hillary's is a fairy tale. And it is.

8. The "Fairy Tale" Obama needs to avoid is "The Boy Who Cried Wolf"
And please ObamaNation, don't cry Wolf! over Aesop's use of the word 'boy'...

9. No, but it will expose how racism is still alive in the USA
Hell, from some of the posts I've seen, it's alive right here on DU as well.

11. obama's campaign in search of anything to race bait against
HRC. Where there is none, they have still used it, and will backfire against obama.....

I know you obama supporters do not believe me when I have said for over a month or so that obama's campaign has been and still is playing the race card to their benefit.....
