To those claiming Obama is the "darling of the RW": Rove slimes Obama w/ racist twist
Yesterday this OP appeared on DU proclaiming support for Clinton, this from a "former Kucinich supporter" who say they had been leaning toward Edwards, but now have prematurely (in my view) decided that "Edwards can't win" ... so they "renounce" Edwards to support Hillary (and not Obama ... huh?)
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x4031310

The gist of this OP's rationale for not supporting Obama instead of Hillary is that "conservatives love Obama too much". This despite the well-known fact (or at least I thought it was) that Hillary's the Dem nominee-of-Neocon-choice:
http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_steven_l_080108_conservative_right_c.htm

So now, KKKarl Rove coughs up this piece of slime, "Why Hillary Won" .. trash-talking Obama as "lazy".

Has anyone seen any such Rovian attacks on Hillary lately? If so I have missed them. I don't doubt that Obama has some corporatist RW support,
but that appears to be to hedge their bets rather than because they really want to see Obama be the Dem nominee in the General. While I agree
that it's silly and unwise for someone to choose their Dem primary candidate based on whether the RW/Necons like them or not, this IS part of the
picture, and like it or not, it does tell us something about the candidate. Hence this is my humble attempt to set the record straight.

My personal disclaimer: I'm a current Kucinich supporter, who's second choice is clearly Edwards, but would whole heartedly support Obama over Hillary. Personally I feel that the 20+ years of Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton dynasty rule should come to an end pronto.

MSNBC analyst: Rove Obama attack close to 'outright racist'
David Edwards and Muriel Kane
Published: Friday January 11, 2008
http://rawstory.com/news/2007/MSNBC_Analyst_Rove_Obama_attack_almost_0111.html

Excerpt from article:
Of the Rove editorial, Wolffe stated, "Talking to some of Obama's aides, I think they detected a pretty ugly undertone in Rove's op-ed there. The 'trash-talking.' The 'basketball.' The 'lazy' thing. Is he suggesting that there's some sort of color aspect to Barack Obama's behavior that he's getting at? It was uncomfortably close to the edge of being plain-out racist."

"That's Karl," said Olbermann.

The racist slant of Rove's op-ed has already been widely noted among bloggers, with one of the more vehement writing, "When you take into consideration the malevolent genius of Karl Rove - The god damned Johnny Appleseed of fear harvesting - and understand that the higher echelon of the Republican base is being spoon-fed a concoction that consists of a feminist-socialist lesbian wife of a shill president or a lazy, jive-talking, b-ball playing huckster boy politician from Chicago ... Rove's ability to triangulate issues and interweave them with subtle strereotypical imagery would be fun to read if it was fiction. Unfortunately in real life, the fat master has stirred and is testing the waters to see if his style of politics still plays."

1. Rove stance: You divide and I take advantage of the division.
He laughs everytime a Dem trashes another Dem but unfortunately he is also good getting other people to hate each other.

Republicansin my southern state wasted no time retelling a story about Clinton supposedly denigrating King and praising Lyndon Johnson. It was double fun for them since they hate Johnson for getting the civil rights legislation passed into law. No LBJ memorials here.

4. To me it's painfully obvious that Rove et. al. want to keep the Bush/Clinton Dynasty
in power for as long as possible. How can this be so obvious, yet so widely missed as a major issue?

12. So I guess you think things have gone swimmingly for USA the past 24 years?
with Bush Crime Family rule, abbreviated with oh-so-cozy Clinton cover-ups of recent Bush crimes and cleanups of Bush messes?

well, ok, good luck with that one. personally I'm sick of it, and apparently roughly 60% of Democratic voters in
primaries (supporting either Mr. Change Obama or John Edwards agree with me. Time for a change, big time.

9. You don't think Rove is still carrying BushCrimeFamily water?
the point would be to continue the all too cozy 20+ years of Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton rule.. how is that not clear to you?

You've no doubt seen all the pics the past few years of Bill and Bush1 chumming it up? I haven't seen Obama in any of those
pictures?

11. I don't know. But look, I'm NOT a big Obama supporter, ok? I'm just wanting the record straight
i.e. the RW wants to run against Hillary MUCH more than it does against Obama.

In case you missed my disclaimer: I'm a Kucinich supporter, second choice Edwards .. then third Obama, mainly cuz I'm sick
of the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton Dynasty continuing to misrule America .. they are way to chummy for my taste.
