Sarkisyan family urges New Hampshire to vote for Edwards

MANCHESTER, NH -- The family of Nataline Sarkisyan -- the 17-year-old California girl who needed a transplant but was unable to get one despite being insured -- urged voters here to back Edwards, who has made taking on big drug companies one of the main thrusts of his campaign.

"Please vote for Senator Edwards," said Hilda Sarkisyan, mother of Nataline, to an overflow crowd of 500 at the Franco-American Hall in downtown Manchester

The health care provider ultimately agreed to do the transplant for Nataline, but it was too late and the girl died two-hours later.

Hilda was joined by her husband Grigor and son Bedig and all spoke emotionally and powerfully.

A little background: On Thursday, the night of the Iowa caucuses, Nataline’s mother was watching MSNBC and heard John Edwards speech and describe their family’s tragic loss.

Friday morning, Hilda reached out to the Armenian National Committee of America. seeking to connect with the campaign but didn’t know how. Representatives from the Armenian National Committee of America called Edwards' Chapel Hill’s headquarter and spoke to the front desk.

The Michigan State Primary is a mess. I want to vote for John EDWARDS but cannot because the Democratic National Committee (DNC) sanction Michigan because the primary date was moved up AND John EDWARDS, Obama, Biden, and Richardson removed their names from the Michigan ballot.

Independents MUST choose Democrat or Republican to vote in the January Primary OR vote Uncommitted.

My only choices are to vote for those named on the ballot - OR - vote UNCOMMITTED. We are being told to vote UNCOMMITTED and if there are enough uncommitted votes delegates will be assigned AND THESE DELEGATES WILL CAST THEIR VOTES AS THEY SEE FIT IN THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION. I am going to pass on the January Primary vote and wait until the August, 2008 Primary to cast my vote of John EDWARDS. I suggest all others who wished to vote for him or the other candidates NOT on the ballot to do the same. I'm concerned Obama, will be just another pushover for big Corporations, as they have contributed heavily, to his candidacy...

If Edwards were the next President of the United States. He would take on--out of control Corporations,
as did FDR.
No other candidate can, or will...

IMO,The corporate media was against Edwards, who threatened their strangle hold, on the status quo,
Their obvious agenda -- marginalize Edwards and his message...

3. This just proves how the DLC was behind this move by certain states

to move their primaries into this mess. The two DLC candidates, Hillary & Obama, will benefit from the move, and John Edwards will not get the super delegates' votes.

Another BIG reason why we have to get rid of all DLC candidates. They act like republicans, they are slimey like republicans, the vote like republicans, and they are against the PEOPLE of this country getting their way.
