How's this for experience? Hillary says that Putin "doesn't have a soul"
Edited on Mon Jan-07-08 12:01 AM by zulchzulu
You'd think she'd know when to shut her piehole about other world leaders that could seriously get us in ANOTHER war, but Hillary seems to just not get it... heck, war is good for business and the people backing her campaign.

Speaking in Hampton this evening, Hillary Rodham Clinton said the president of Russia "doesn't have a soul."

She was riffing on the danger of inexperience, and reliance on personal relationships, in foreign affairs, indirectly comparing Obama to George W. Bush, who notoriously looked into Vladimir Putin's soul and liked what he saw.

"I could have told him — he was a KGB agent. By definition he doesn’t have a soul," Clinton joked.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0108/Hillary_Putin_doesnt_have_a_soul.html

She appears to be riffing on the danger of of her OWN inexperience and certainly her own solid record of reckless solidarity with George Bush.

On edit: I took out the photo of Hillary in her usual caustic self.

I don't even need to post links on that one. If you follow the news at all you know what I am talking about. They say things that actually are crazy, rather than things that are simply true.

Just because you think Putin is such a nice guy, I will post this one: http://www.guardian.co.uk/russia/article/0,,1927726,00.html

What good does it do to say something as completely inane as that? Does she want to go to war with Putin?

Does she think that by insulting him like that that we can work on getting rid of loose nukes in that region?

She is an ass.

Look, I think Obama is prepared, but I don't think that we need to call Putin a nice guy when he is the antithesis of freedom, liberty, and goodness. Not all world leaders are entitled to respect. Since when do we have to shrug and say, "Oh well, that's just fine." when we are staring at a deep pit of evil and inhumanity?

Do I think Hillary should have maybe kept that comment to herself and her advisers? Maybe. However, I will never be terribly upset when a world leader is called for what he/she is.

Vladimir Putin is an evil man. I am absolutely convinced of it. Maybe he has a soul, but it is a perverted and evil one.

Thank God the NIE came out and the CIA stopped those bastard neocons in their tracks.

Otherwise, Bush would be standing in the rose garden right now, "Lookee her. I warned those Iranians many
times. They won't stop nucleating. Now, we're going to war. I'm not going alone. The Senate
agrees with me. They declared Iran a 'terrorist organization.' They all know what I do to

I've been wondering that lately. I remember that being a brutal time here, but then, it's gotten pretty brutal around here the past couple months.

I was way too "emotionally invested" in Clark last time. I'm an undecided this time around, and it's definitely a different perspective. The amount of garbage and kneejerking coming from all directions is pretty disturbing.

That many Obama supporters, just like you, attack, and then whine and hurl insults when called on it.

Our exchange here proves it.

The fact that your op that clearly says you removed a pic of Hillary you had posted, and the fact that you posted it to begin with, and then removed out of embarrassment, yet still try to hide from it, prove it.

A dazzling display to be sure.

I couldn't have don it without you.

62. She also said Musharraf was "democratically elected"
in last night's debate.

I am not at all impressed with her stances on foreign policy. Biden was right in criticizing her after her other dumb statement about Mushy being up for reelection. Her experience on foreign policy is incredibly shallow. Traveling to Afghanistan and Pakistan and meeting Mushy doesn't impress me one bit.

As for this latest statement, it is unsurprising. Putin may indeed be soulless, but Hillary should realize that he's probably more democratic than her buddy Mushy, who she heaps praise over. And he's also pretty damn powerful and wields great regional and global influence, especially with regards to energy.

64. Shes suppose to be a Change Agent?
And she's saying one of the most powerful leaders in the world, he has no soul?

Again she's just the status quo

65. How utterly foolish... to say something so openly inflammatory
about another world leader. I don't care what you think of Putin; he is the ruler of Russia with a 70% approval rating from his own people. The people of his country will take that as an insult.

70. Bingo!
Putin is certainly no angel, but when you say utterly juvenile garbage like he "has no soul", what are you expecting to happen?

I'm sure Putin would like to have a few choice words with her. But then again, he's pretty smart.

67. Oh, please!!!!

She may have been echoing John McCain's somewhat less personal shot at Putin: "I looked into his eyes and saw three letters: a K, a G and a B."

She said it as a joke, "joke" being the key word here.

71. Oh...it's a, ahem, um, joke...
Sort of like how the Clinton team made an issue of Obama's kindergarden paper and then it...was... a ... joke...

(insert 50's audience laugh track here)
