1. He is going to get DESTROYED in NH

And I don't believe his campaign will recover.

Mitt Romney doesn't have to fight the two-front Iowa/NH war against Huckabee and McCain anymore and he will be concentrating fire heavily.

It's gonna be bloody, and fun to watch.

10. They were saying that Knuckleberry and McCain tagging together
for Iowa and NH. To have Knuckleberry win in Iowa and McCain in NH. And then all bets are off for SC.

3. Yeah, I don't know
The anti-tax people tend to hate the federal income tax more than almost anything other than a state income tax. I can see him having some traction in NH with his anti-tax/"fair" tax positions.

I would be surprised if he won (I think it will be Romney), but I don't think he'll have that poor a showing either.

12. They aren't "tax free"
They currently pay into the same federal income tax system as you and I, the still somewhat progressive tax that is abhorred by the right wing. All they would be doing is swapping one for the other per republican sales pitches, not adding an additonal tax- which is where New Hampshirites go ballistic.

I think some people would be amazed how much traction the sales tax idea has with the republican/libertarian anti-tax Norquist worshippers. But that's just me.

9. People don't understand that the Flat Tax is the Federal Tax, not state or local taxes.
They would be on top of the Federal Flat Tax, which of course would have to be higher than the 23% that's often quoted.

So, in theory it would replace the federal Income Tax which even NH residents have to pay.
