Will they get any real mojo from that going into NH?

I don't think so, really. Only a decisive win will do that.

That said, I'm predicting an Obama win. I'm not basing this on much other than a gut feeling.

Remember: It ain't over till the fat lady sings no matter who wins. This race is tighter than I imagined it would be.

Unless there is a blow-out tonight.

:hi:

1. Yes, They WILL Get a Bump
In fact, it will be totally disproportionate to the actual margin. America loves a winner.

5. I dunno
I think if it's that marginal, the media will tone down that "big winner" a lot.

Then everyone will go nuts waiting for NH to decide it.

16. Yes, the Way it is Handled by the Media
will have something to do with the impact of the results.

But simple Win, Place, and Show are very important.

Tamping down is hard - but then again I'm a WASP, so I'm well-trained :D

8. lol
Really, if it's a marginal win, whoever wins will feel good but the second place "loser" and their supporters are going to be very pissed indeed.

7. An Obama win answers racial questions
If Obama can win in Iowa, of all places, then an awful lot of people in this country re-evaluate their beliefs about a black President. Other than that, I don't think the results matter if they're all within a few points.

9. Maybe you are right, there
But Iowa and NH are so strange, it's impossible to me to make generalizations about their picks.

To me, this really starts in SC.

Unless there is a blow out. heh.

If you recall Clinton's first election - he didn't win Iowa. I believe he cleaned up on Super Tuesday.

15. So do I and Iowa is a bit of a curse
The dems they pick tend to lose the GE. One way or another.

11. If it's my candidate, it matters big time -
if it's someone else, it will be statistically insignificant. I think most here would agree. That answer your question?

13. lol, yes
I kinda said that myself.

But I'm not supporting any one candidate so I'm not looking at it that way.

It's a horserace to me.

12. I want to know how NH will be affected by...
The numbers we're hearing about 2 people caucusing for the Dems for every one caucusing for the Reps. Does that end the electability argument? Or just heighten the stakes because we KNOW whoever wins the primaries is our next president?

Will the Reps turn ugly or just give up?

14. I think that is because their line-up is so lame
Which is why I'm confident in a win whoever we nominate.
