HuffPo: Fake-ass Christian-Cowboy-In-Chief sends out his "Super Christian Christmas Card"
I respect everyone's faith, but as a Christian, my least favorite people in the WORLD are FAKE CHRISTIANS.

The White House's Super Christian Christmas Card

Huffington Post | Danny Shea | December 13, 2007 11:07 AM

This morning on "The View," Barbara Walters displayed the Christmas card she recently received from the White House. She said it was the most religious White House Christmas card in her memory. The card included explicit religious references beyond just a bible verse.

The super-Christian card features a verse from Nehemiah (Old Testament, it should be noted):

You alone are the LORD.
You made the heavens, even the highest heavens,
and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it,
the seas and all that is in them.
You give life to everything,
and the multitudes of heaven worship you.
NEHEMIAH 9:6 (NIV)

But whereas in previous years the President and the First Lady opted for messages of happiness, goodwill, and peace, this year featured the following closer:

May the joy of all creation fill your heart this blessed season 2007.

It is then signed by both George and Laura Bush.

1. Jesus - not even mentioned.
You'd think that they could have found a New Testament verse that was, er, relevant to Christmas. Something from Luke maybe? Matthew?

2. They don't even get an "E" for "effort."
I don't know why they're even trying at this point. Most of the rats (Card, Rove, McClellan, Rummy, etc) have left the sinking ship. I think Bush would have been better off if the official White House Christmas Card had Snoopy on it. At least no one questions his love of dogs.

Then again, he tends to drop them on pavement.

3. Freaky. "Nehemiah" twice in one day...
here at DU and on the back windshield of massive pick-up truck I passed this morning on my way to class.

Guess that card will make Sherri 'Nothing Predated Christians' Shepherd happy.

Mandatory classes in religion (including agnosticism and atheism) are starting to sound better and better to me.

(Sorry for the FUX link sullying your good post...)

4. what an audacious card!
Edited on Sat Dec-15-07 03:05 AM by flordehinojos
if the bushes sincerely believed everything written in the bible verse someone in the white house (dana perrino? maybe just someone who is a creationist chose for them -- since the verse seems to refer more to creation than it does to the birth of jesus christ) and had printed for them .... they would not be waging invasions, occupations, they would not be committing killings galore of innocent people.

the point oculd also be made that the are so damn ignorant about christmas and the birth of christ that on a christmas card they don't even mention the birth of christ or the season that christmas celebrates!

darn ignorant pretend to be better than the world bushes!

they are a bunch of sorry people.

they missed it on the votes to be rightfully elected and then elected themselves into the white house.

they missed on the WMD count but then created their own VISION of WMDs so they could proceed with their invasion and occupation of iraq.

they missed it on the true meaning of christmas and had a card printed worthy of a creationist and sent it to the bunch of ignaramous who worship the bushes rather than the true christ and then they have the audacity to bend their knees and call themselves christians.

sorry bunch of losers. i can't say it enough.
