Oprah was fantastic and Obama is sure to get rave reviews from the MSM (not that I like them...but it'll help his campaign). Anybody who says this won't shake up the polls is just dead wrong. I expect Obama to be outside the margin of error and close to a 5-8 point lead in the coming Iowa polls. Let's hope it carries over to New Hampshire and South Carolina!!!

While written in the 80's during the Reagan "event" I find the words have endured and are as important now as they were then, perhaps even more so. Some of the VERY SAME people have their "dirty fingers" running this country into the ground!

So it was especially interesting to me to see that it was Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt attending and singing at an event for John Edwards in California recently. Then having Harry Belafonte coming aboard in support of Edwards is yet another coup. These are people who have worked tirelessly in the trenches for years and years and have shown that their dedication to human rights has never wavered. Oprah has been a force in America, but not necessarily a political force, but then as you said, and I myself have said, substance has been missing because too many people are being guided by what the "MEDIA" sells us.

And before ANYONE says I'm knocking Obama, you can stop before you start. I think he's a viable candidate and give him credit, I'm only pointing out certain facts about how Americans let themselves be led by name recognition only or what is repeated over and over each an every day on MSM!!
