Drudge is now LYING and headlining that Hillary "planted" the gay General
The fucker has it as his headline:

BOOB TUBE: CNN 'DUPED' BY HILLARY PLANT AT REPUBLICAN DEBATE

and this is what Drudge links to as his source:

http://www.townhall.com/blog/g/d91f3cba-6a87-4686-92ce-70a16edc311b

A fucking BLOG on townhall where some asshole named Jonathon Garthwaite fictionalizes that "Hillary plants question in Republican debate."

Never mind that there is no proof whatsoever that Hillary planted this guy, Drudge will run with it to smear her.

For the record, the guy is on her GLBT "steering committee" (just basically a list of people willing to lend their names as supporters) but he is also a member of the Log Cabin Republicans club, a fact which Drudge is conveniently ignoring.

There is no evidence whatsoever that Hillary had anything to do with this, but Drudge is already trying to frame this to embarrass Hillary and Democrats and the mainstream media, as they usually do, will pick up their cues from him tomorrow.

We should, as Democrats, regardless of whether we support Hillary or not, be emailing CNN and Anderson Cooper tomorrow and demanding that they tell the truth about this, and not just regurgitate Drudge's baseless headline. Drudge and his Republican propoganda need to be NEUTERED every time they try to do this.

and fucking with their heads.

5. Not the point
Drudge has to be confronted at every single lie he tells. The media gives him free reign and his crap ends up as fodder on Tweety and Scarborough and Fixed News and then becomes accepted wisdom. He is currently trying to destroy Hillary because he loathes the Clintons, but if Obama is nominated, trust me, Drudge will be the main weapon the Republics use to spread lies about him. The way to defuse Drudge is for all of us to email media sources to call him on his bullshit every time he does it. He can be neutered, but it's up to us to do it.

10. Methinks you pump the Sludgester up a little much
but your vigilance is probably the right approach. Still, just the thought of planting a gay officer in a Republican debate...walk with pride lad. :P

12. He cost us 2000
with his relentless pounding of Gore. Those characterizations were given wide press coverage, mostly due to Drudge. The mainstream press is lazy and they look to him for zeitgeist pieces. (and, yes, I know Gore won - not the issue).

Being happy and upbeat is not inconsistent with being vigilant about the biggest rightwing propoganda machine out there. Which is exactly what he is. Screw Drudge doesn't cut it. We have to fight him and expose him every time he does this, because the MSM takes him very seriously.

11. Not to speak for ruggy, but you don't have to be on any HRC express to call a bs attack on a fellow
Democrat exactly what it is - a bullshit attack.

I would think being a Democrat would be reason enough to express a little outrage here.

4. She could learn from Edwards and come back fast at them.
Edited on Thu Nov-29-07 12:31 AM by asdjrocky
Like he did at Romney just minutes ago, regarding "Two Americas."

Edwards Release:

"In the debate tonight, Governor Romney was caught being deceptive about his own record. He is also being deceptive about whether there are two Americas – one for the most powerful and one for everyone else. News flash, Governor: The 98% of Americans who were not born to great wealth or who have not been given special privilege in our country struggle every day to make ends meet and provide opportunities for their families. No small part of their struggle is because the game has been rigged to protect those on top. It is not surprising Governor Romney proposes additional policies to assist the crowd on Easy Street. Unfortunately for him, the millions of Americans who live and work on Main Street know much more about the reality of where we are as a country."

Drudge is a pig. Hillary should hit back.

Edited on Thu Nov-29-07 06:25 AM by dsc
Does he lose his right to ask a question about an issue he would presumedly care deeply about? I admit, I have no idea if Hillary had anything to do with this or not. But I think it is at least as likely the highest ranking gay soldier in this history of the nation might, just might, think of the idea of asking candidates of his political party just what their rationale for excluding gay soldiers is; as it is that Hillary made him do it.

Edited on Fri Nov-30-07 12:46 AM by dugggy
If this dude is on Hillary's steering committee, and he is being paid
by CNN to fly out to appear in a republik debate, are you trying to say he did
not notify Hillary before appearing on national television?

If true, Hillary has totally out of control organization.

29. CNN has a serious problem on their hands
Two debates in a row CNN has been caught having Clinton supporters playing a key role in the debate. James Carville from the CNN round table in the last democratic debate and now we have this questioneer. I find it absolutely bullshit that no one at CNN know that Kerr was associated with Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Something is massively wrong.

37. IMO, that was the best part of the debate
And it was the worst for the Republicans. The responses by the candidates were lame and the audience was disrespectful to the retired Brig. General, showing a remarkable hypocrisy since the pro-war folks are notably unabashed ass-kissers of anyone wearing a uniform (unless, of course, they criticize the Iraq war). OF COURSE, every spin will be spun that can cast a spurious take on the gay veteran's contribution last night.

Complaining about politicians being corrupt is like complaining about snow being white.
