Clinton Backed Earmarks for Racist Donor
NEW YORK, Oct. 30 Sen. Hillary Clinton was one of the U.S. politicians who accepted campaign contributions from DNA pioneer James Watson and supported an earmark for the lab.

The Washington Times reported Tuesday that Clinton, D-N.Y. and Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., requested a $900,000 earmark for Watson's Cold Harbor Lab in New York to be used for cancer research.

Watson won the Nobel Prize for his groundbreaking DNA discoveries; however he resigned last week after making controversial remarks about the intelligence levels of black people.

Congressional sources told the Times that the controversy would likely scuttle the earmark.

A Clinton spokesman confirmed that Watson donated a total of $3,000 to her campaign but denied any quid pro quo in regards to the Cold Harbor earmark.

I didn't realize that earthtimes is the Washington Times. I know about WT, I just didn't know their URL. Actually, I thought it would link to some websites for Moonies.

10. And to answer the inevitable "even a broken clock is right 2x/day" crowd
Watson does not own the Cold Harbor Lab. It's not "his" earmark. I don't support the place and would like to see it shut down. In fact, I think the earmark might be used to close it down.

11. A lab shouldn't get funding for cancer research because an employee...
...made a racist remark, which that lab fired him for?
