I may be naive, but ...
I truly am hoping that there are some true patriots within the lower levels of the Bush administration ... those who are loyal to the Country and the Constitution, not those who swore loyalty to Bush.

These people might be in the background, keeping damning notes and documents, which, on 1/21/2009, will turn them over to the proper authorities as evidence. They will be key, protected witnesses who will testify to the crimes of the Bush administration, both against the country's laws, and against humanity.

They will, of course, be eviscerated by Faux and its complicit partners in the "liberal" media. I hope that they can be strong ...

1. You ARE naive.
Once the next administration takes over, they won't want to be "burdened" with investigating the previous administration. Or so the excuse will go.

All that was done will be buried.

3. The next president will have NO margin for error (to quote Biden) so s/he
will be cleaning up a big mess. Going after Bushco might go far in bringing the extent of the abuses to the public, and garner support for the incumbent. Once the people see what the new Prez is really faced with, the people would be less critical of him/her.

I'm naive, too - but it IS a possibility! :7

4. Gotta agree. Also, among the career bureaucrats (as opposed to Bush political appointees)...
it's simply a bad idea to rock the boat, on a personal level. It's bad for one's career. High-minded ideals about the country and the constitution can easily take a back seat to having a steady paycheck, especially once the administration is done and gone anyway.

2. The problem with your logic is that we need to a. Get to that date and....
b. make certain that this bunch of crooks actually leave office on 1/21/2009... and thats the part that is very troubling right now. If they somehow manage to hit Iran prior to that date, they will declare martial law and probably put off anymore elections indefinitely.

5. I think if the Dem's had hearings and really went after..............
shrub and his gang then you would find them coming out of the woodwork. In reality there have been a few patriots that have spoken out. The bottom line is that they have been left swinging in the wind by the Dem's and the media and don't think it doesn't get noticed by those still in the administration. Speak out...your career is done and absolutely nothing will come of it.

6. There has also been an unprecedented exodus of government professionals under Bush & Co.
