1. I really fail to see how they will get away with this... First of all..
Harper does not even have a majority Gov't. in Canada.... This in my mind is all going to back fire on them once the Canadian people get wind of what is going on....

For those that are wondering what this is all about, please look at the attached URL.

2. Where the hell are out elected reps during all this??????????
<snip>

From August 20-21, Stephen Harper will welcome his American idol George W. Bush and Mexico’s President Felipe Calderon to Montebello, Quebec.

What will be on the agenda? We can only guess at this point, because all of the meetings to review the progress of the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) have taken place in secret so far.

But the Council of Canadians is determined to break the silence and ensure that citizens’ voices are heard.

The SPP – which is being implemented without any public or parliamentary scrutiny – is about eliminating Canada’s ability to set its own independent regulatory standards, environmental protection measures, energy security, foreign, military, immigration and a frighteningly wide range of other policies.

The decisions that Harper, Bush and Calderon make from Aug. 20-21 will affect the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the human rights and civil liberties we enjoy.

3. Well the sad reality is that Paul Martin was the one that started all of this...
When he was invited to Bush's ranch several years ago this was discussed and Martin went along with it.

14. Actually the near riotous conditions
That occurred during the Seattle WTO meetings in the 1990's prevented many of the meetings that would have placed Europe under the thumb of planned WTO decisions.

The protesters there freed the European part of the globe.

they may have been knocked black and blue but they did keep Europe free.

7. Will this amount to a treaty? If it does, it needs to be ratified.

8. Another reason to support Dennis!
He'll opt out of NAFTA and the WTO in the first week of his administration by sending withdrawl notices to Canada and Mexico!

Go Dennis!

10. I thought Bush couldn't shove that through
Didn't Congress at least a month ago refuse to reauthorize his fast-track authority and now treaties and whatnot have to go through the Senate like they are supposed to?

We don't???

Never mind.

16. Neocons seem to have a role here, just as they did in Europe
How much have you seen from the US MSM media on this subject? It is usually buried back on page 6. They even snicker when someone brings it up as on Washington Journal of CSPAN

Hillary will be right there cheerleading for it too as her husband gave us NAFTA. BTW has anyone ever questioned her or the other candidates about the SPP / NAU in the debates? It is more likely Wolf and his MSM compatriots let it slide with a snicker as just another frivolous tin hat conspiracy theory. I rest my case.

Control of the people has become much easier with consolidated governments and consolidated media.

17. Note that right-wing parties rule in all three countries
And in two of them (US and Mexico) they came to power illegitimately, by rigging the elections.
