Biden Reviews.
Edited on Sat Jul-28-07 01:35 AM by Like It Is
Biden "was passionate when necessary and blunt when called for. He was the straight talker on that stage Monday night."
Chuck Todd, MSNBC.com, 7/23/2007

"Sen. Joe Biden (Del.) once again showed he is among the most skilled debaters on the stage with a call for the candidates to tell the truth about Iraq and several effective one-liners."
Chris Cillizza, WashingtonPost.com, 7/23/2007

"You know who did really well tonight? Joe Biden. When is he going to break out of the second tier? Why hasn't he caught on? Once again tonight, he gave it to the American people straight. He says we can't pull out of Iraq now without a political solution. He challenged candidates to say he's the guy really talking about this."
David Brody, CBN.com, 7/23/2007

"Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware was passionate and blunt..."
Alessandra Stanley, New York Times, 7/24/2007

"Biden... was refreshingly blunt..."
Tom Shales, Washington Post, 7/24/2007

"I certainly appreciated that he responded to the question and didn't avoid it in any sort of way."
Remy Munasifi, YouTube Questioner, CNN, 7/23/2007

I'm not the only one who thought Biden did a great job in limited time.

1. What I like about Biden
is that he seems so unrehearsed, just frank. One also has the strong feeling that he knows what he is talking about.
I think that will appeal to the broader voting public and it will take that group to pull him out of the second tier.

2. More Biden Reviews.
"Joe Biden was fast on his feet."
David Gergen, CNN, 7/23/2007

Biden "especially shined when talking about foreign policy."
The State, 7/24/2007

"Joe Biden -- on the ball about Iraq and foreign policy, especially Darfur. He loves South Carolina and this debate loved him."
Marc Ambinder, The Atlantic.com, 7/23/2007

Biden has done very well in every debate, scoring at worst 3rd in every post debate poll. Bill Richardson has bombed in every debate and scored accordingly in the post debate polls. Yet Richardson is ranked above Biden in the regular polls. I believe that the people in the regular polls for the most part are not watching the debates. I think it's just too early. They're not interested.

6. What I I like about Biden:
:applause:

His positions do not change with the political wind. He looks you straight in the eye and tells it like it is. He is very human and down to earth and not packaged. We should choose our President and not let the media choose for us. They didn't do a very good job last time.
Joe Biden gets my vote!!:patriot:

7. We have to do more than like him!
He is not the favorite of Wall Street and the moneyed interests. He's a man of the people. he's not a favorite of the NRA. We have to support him any way we can. Send him a contribution if you can afford it. If not support him vocally and on the message boards. Get a Biden bumper sticker or tee shirt to help get his name out there. Protest to the media to give him equal time with Shillary or Obama. I would hope the Unions would get behind him.

8. Totally agree!
I have started emailing the MSM and telling them that I am sick of how
all they talk about is Hilbama.

Like the other day, when Matthews was out at the bike event in Iowa.
He interviewed the lovely Jill Biden, but of course he couldn't give that interview
1 minute airplay on his show. Nope, it was more important to talk about what Hilbama said that day.

9. Chris Matthews is an absolute piece of dog crap!
He's worst than Tucker Carlson, and that's pretty bad. Stop and think about MSNBC, they have Joe Scarborough a ex Florida Repug congressman on the old Imus in the morning show. Carlson, Matthews and Olbermann, I used to think Olbermann was ok, but he's a Shillary and Obama man too. I think that GE which owns NBC & MSNBC tells them what they can do and not do. Corporations Rule!!

10. Keith remains pretty neutral.
And he has given Biden's speeches airtime.

David Schuster is the best reporter from MSNBC.
Schuster likes Biden, and often puts excerpts from his speeches in his reporting.

I have a love / hate relationship with Matthews. Lately it's more of the later.

Tucker -ugh.
Scarborough - never.
