Hillary is Canada's Choice for US President

TORONTO, June 25 /CNW/Telbec - If Canadians could choose the next US President,
it would be Hillary Clinton by a landslide, according to a new poll released
today.

Almost four in ten Canadians want Senator Clinton as the next US
president. A new poll conducted by The Strategic Counsel on behalf of The
Globe and Mail and CTV News shows Hillary Clinton is the strong favorite among
Canadians who give the New York senator a three-to-one lead over Rudy Giuliani
(12%), the next most popular candidate among respondents. 11% would vote for
Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton's closest rival for the Democratic nomination.

"Clearly the Clinton brand continues to hold a lot of luster in Canada,"
says Tim Woolstencroft, Managing Partner of The Strategic Counsel. "Bill
Clinton has always enjoyed tremendous popularity here, and that critical mass
of positive sentiment has given Hillary's campaign a big boost. She's a strong
candidate in her own right, but it's an even stronger franchise. A lot of
Canadians would like to see another Clinton White House."

Canadian support for Hillary Clinton cuts across age, education level,
and even political affiliation. "She's as popular among Canadian Conservatives
as she is among Canadian Liberals," says Woolstencroft, "and I think that says
something about the kind of broad, personal appeal that the Clintons have
managed to secure here in Canada."

Hillary Clinton enjoys strongest support among Quebeckers (51%),
Francophone Canadians (52%) and, overwhelmingly, Bloc Quebecois voters (67%)

23. Hillary will never have a first term
and according to a recent Rassmussen poll 46% of the country will never vote for her under any circumstance so she has NO chance of winning. The only "never vote" candidate that was higher was Newt Gingrich. She's an unelectable lightning rod just like Newt.

3. She would do well in Punjab as well...
She said she could '"certainly run for the Senate seat in Punjab and win easily."

The Canadians probably like her because her campaign outsourced the campaign song that they are familiar with...the same one used on some insurance company or whatever by Miss Celine.

26. You want to open up a Clinton can of worms 10 miles high?
We can do that.

The Rezko story is a red herring. As the article you pointed out says, there is utterly no proof that Obama did ANY favors for Rezko. The guy was his next door neighbor...they sold property to him...big freakin' whoop.

If you'd like to debunk what was in the outsourcing memo, that might be interesting. The Clinton Team is trying to avoid those issues like the Plague...and guess what... it's only the top of the first inning on that little puppy.

Rezko's story is a moth compared the complicity the Clintons have with profiting from outsourcing. We're talking about a LOT of money.

Need some more sand to hide your head in?

easily had her staff change a few things (punjab) in order to cripple the Obama campaign. In that case he couldn't admit to some but not all of the memo that Clinton gave to the media... You and other Clintonistas on this site would have flamed Obama to death for selective apology...

29. Wrong...
Rassmussen has Edwards as the only candidate who can beat all Republicans. Hillary doesn't even come close..

Zogby has Hillary's negatives as in "I would never vote for her under any circumstances" at 46% which is the second highest of all potential candidates after Newt Gingrich and which makes her unelectable. You can't win if you immediately write off 46% of the vote. That means you've got to get practically every remaining vote to win. She's an unelectable lightning rod just like Newt.

And Edwards leads where it matters - in Iowa.

Hillary's got nowhere to go but down...her numbers were fixed in concrete years ago and she's a totally known and un-recyclable commodity. Edwards and Obama have headroom to go up however.

Canadians Vote Bush Least-Liked President
by Shawn McCarthy

OTTAWA — U.S. President George W. Bush is the most unpopular American president in recent memory among Canadians, with more than 60 per cent saying they have an unfavorable opinion of him, according to a new poll by Environics Research Group Ltd.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_perception_of_George_W._Bush

Among the population of Britain, two-thirds of the population holds a dim view of Bush, a figure that is duplicated in Canada.

Bush fares slightly better in Mexico and Italy, where just over half of the population has a negative view, but much worse in other countries.
“Three-quarters of those in Spain and more than 80% in France and Germany had a negative view of Mr. Bush's role in world affairs."
In Turkey, 72% of those polled said that George Bush's re-election made them “feel worse about Americans".

In November 2006, a survey taken in Britain, Mexico, and Canada showed that they believe Bush is more dangerous than the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-il, and the President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Is that why she chose a Celine Deion song for her campaign theme?

Leave it to Hillary to outsource her campaign theme song!

Aren't there any American musicians/composers she could have used?

an idiot and invading countries, you might understand the relevance. Our idiot has done everything he possibly can to bring the wrath of many countries down on our heads, (literally).

"IF" I lived in Canada, I would like to see someone with a "brain" and someone who can mend friendships around the world. We have an enemy maker in charge. Several, in fact.......

Obviously, our northern neighbors fear B*sh would cause problems for our shared land mass if he could and they feel Hillary will do exactly the opposite.

Makes perfect sense to me.
