Is Bill Kristol paid by the lie?
Norm MacDonald:

You ever lie? Who the hell doesn't lie, eh? Ya gotta lie, but you ever lie for no reason? That's the worst kind of lie, eh? You know? 'Cause usually, there's a reason you lie, like you want to protect somebody's feelings, or, y'know, fuck over your buddy or something like that. But you ever--just a big lie spills out of your evil head all of a sudden, you don't even know? You know, like a guy'll come up to you and go, "Hey! You ever see that movie with Meryl Streep and the horse?" And then you go, "Yes." And in the back of your head, you go, "What the fuck am I lying about over here? I stand to gain nothing by this lie. What the hell am I thinking back here in my head?"

Bill Kristol:

There was a push by Bill Clinton to take down Saddam Hussein....

Of course a lot of us thought Saddam should be removed, and I imagine Paul Wolfowitz and Doug Feith did.

So, Bill Clinton was set on a preemptive war with Iraq, but you're not sure whether Wolfowitz was.

I see. And you and Paul Wolfowitz never sent this letter to President Clinton, right?

Dear Mr. President:

We are writing you because we are convinced that current American policy toward Iraq is not succeeding, and that we may soon face a threat in the Middle East more serious than any we have known since the end of the Cold War. In your upcoming State of the Union Address, you have an opportunity to chart a clear and determined course for meeting this threat. We urge you to seize that opportunity, and to enunciate a new strategy that would secure the interests of the U.S. and our friends and allies around the world. That strategy should aim, above all, at the removal of Saddam Hussein’s regime from power. We stand ready to offer our full support in this difficult but necessary endeavor.

I understand the political value of falsely implying that Clinton shared your zest for preemptive war, now that that strategy is a documented loser. But what would possess you to feign uncertainty that toppling Saddam was Wolfowitz's agenda?

Are Fox and Time paying you by the lie? If not, I'd certainly look into that, if I were you.

In the 2004 GOP primary, he fell off the stage while flipping pancakes in a photo-op.

Gary Bauer is President of the Family Research Council and a Senior Vice President of Focus on the Family.

17. I've heard of him but didn't recognize him here. I guess I >
> never thought of him as being on a power par with those others in the pic (perhaps not including Bill Bennett, either). He always struck me as one of those little conservative gnats flying around the periphery while guys like Perle, Kristol, and Cheney made up the inner circle.

That is one odd-looking man.

10. I don't watch the steno pool, so I have seen very little of
Bill "The Bloody" Kristol. Lately, I have been watching clips of him, and that man has some serious mental health issues.

He radiates when speaking of the war, death and carnage. He drools with delight at the thought of openning a third front in Iran.

Can't the steno pool see this?

An attempt was made. It failed.

William Kristol: There was a push by Bill Clinton to take down Saddam Hussein....

Perhaps that statement isn't completely baseless...
