"Na na na na, na na na na, Gon-za-les, goodbye."
After everyone else had spoken, Judiciary Committee chairman Patrick Leahy told Gonzales that he can't recall any time that he has ever been "more concerned for the system of criminal justice of this country."

As Gonzales and the senators filed out of the hearing room, protesters sang: "Na na na na, na na na na, Gon-za-les, goodbye." Afterward, Schumer told reporters that the fact that Gonzales couldn't say who put names on the list of prosecutors to be fired suggests that the White House may have had a bigger role than is known so far.

Just Holy COW. Yeah, I'll just BET he "didn't know who put the names on that list..." :sarcasm:

I think I could make a good guess. Any of us here could do so, certainly.

4. No one person has ever done so much to destroy the system of justice in this country.
At least not at the Department of Justice. If the Congress cannot get Gonzalez to resign, or Dubya to fire him, it is incumbent on them to impeach him. Besides, the need the impeachment practice.

5. I may be wrong, but I think it's better if he stays.
A new AG nominated by shit-head would just be another one of his cronies, and the dems don't have the balls to deny his confirmation. At least with Gonzo, he's already under so much suspicion that everything he does for the remainder of his term will be scrutinized beyond belief and his hands will be tied in trying to advance shit-head's agenda more than a fresh face would. He'll be under a microscope more than a new AG would. Also, the longer he's around the less credibility this entire administration has, not there's much left to lose to begin with.

would be a severe blow. It would ne very difficult for Bush to get anyone to agree to run the gauntlet that is the confirmation process currently. Although the way Hatch was acting I'd say he wants the job and would get past the confirmation hearings easily. Scary isn't it!
