Just took a telephone poll. Afraid I blew it on a couple questions.
It was several minutes of answering questions via touch tone. Dammit, I started getting so angry I hit the wrong button on a couple of questions. The questions were mostly about the economy, Brits held by Iran, and some demographics. I screen calls, so I haven't done anything like this in years; I should have hung up in the hope they'd call me back. I generally managed to convey my unhappiness and pessimism re the economy, but on the question of *'s handling of the economy I meant to hit 2, which was strongly disapprove, I hit 3 which I hope indicated at least some disapproval. On the Iran issue, I hit 1, which was UK should use force if diplomacy fails, meant to say no to military option. Otherwise, I indicated using diplomacy and USA should stay out of it.
So the next time there's a poll showing some Dems with an irrational belief, now I know one explanation; it's someone who's too angry to push buttons on a phone. Or someone who's lying, which would have been extremely easy. The polling company name was something like AMS Solutions. Should I have just hung up the first time I realized I made I mistake? I managed to convey anti-war, anti-* opinion to most questions.
My first thread, yay!
