Jobless claims rise, AWOL gets more news than the major policy "speech" by Bush yesterday, leak about the gay marriage ban gets no coverage, and the media has uncovered a suspected cleaning of Bush’s National Guard record.

What other bad news for the Bush administration came out today?

Could this be an attempt to neutralize Kerry now that Clark (the only other candidate with NatSec crdentials) dropped out and retake the offensive in one step?

If this was leaked by the GOP wouldn't it have been better to wait until the 9/11 commission and Kerry gets the nomination?
