10. Are They Caving Already?........
the Repug talking points today "are the Dems taking this too far".

I have to ask - are the Dems already caving to these talking points and backing down.

In light of the document dump.... Come on. Yeah 3000 documents - a bulk not being even pertinent to this issue. This large document dump was only a ploy for * to be able to say - see we complied to their wishes and gave them all these wonderful documents. What else do they want from us.

If the Dems back down here and not stand by their guns and demand that Rove and Meiers appear under oath and in public - then - I don't know if I can continue to support the Dems. They need to stand tough and issue subpoena's. If they weaken here - then you might as well kiss the fact that the Dems control congress good-bye - because they aren't in control of anything.

7. Try Real Alternative
It eats up less disc space with junk you don't want and will play most files. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/real_alternative.cfm

3. How about a synopsis?
If you are going to take the time to make a post like this, short of providing a link the least you could do is give a short synopsis of whats going on for the rest of us. It is very annoying to click on a post like this and for there to be no "there" there.

6. conyers up now
says he appreciates that some reps will vote for recommendation of subpoenas rather than the actual issuing of subpoenas. Fielding has missed deadlines w/out remark. Now he wants testimony not under oath and w/out record. Well, I like conversations at the pub too but that won't advance things.

8. Conyers: we don't think they can site exec privelege.
Looks like Repubs don't see that either. I'll give repubs my word - trust me - we are not going to move in a reckless, angry tempermental way at all.

9. Repub - not sure who it is
"If you can assure me that this isn't a witchhunt, or political - I'll vote with you."

conyers: What we are voting on today is merely a backup. I hope we can move forward thru negotiations.
But what fielding said yesterday was so disappointing. We have to put people under oath. You won't regret your vote.

the request for "not under oath" private testimony was an insult to the committee.

13. Spot on with the exception of one word
"testimony". Bush offered a 'conversation'. Nothing more, nothing less.
