Here's one for you... Watching Joe Scarbourgh... The High Speed...
chase with the speeder that was doing about 100 miles per hour weaving in and out of trafic...... This person became a ParaPaligic and is suing the cops that chased him and consequently rammed him. The cops had the license number of this vehicle, but my questions is, how were they supposed to know that it was the registered owner driving the car, and if not who was it? In my view, this person that is suing should not have a hope in hell of wining this suit... He was evading the law, as well as breaking it...

1. I've always wondered that with high speed chases
whenever some putz kills himself some people think that he should never have been chased because it was only a traffic stop. The cops never know that the guy really owns the car. If they let a murderer get away because they stopped chasing him they would be crucified.

2. Oldtimecanuk...
I agree with you...he is a parapalegic because of his own reckless actions and he was driving on a suspended license. Chances are even if the police weren't chasing him he would have eventually injured or killed an innocent driver.

No one takes responsiblility for their actions and they are not held accountable for their actions.

The glamorization of running from the police shown on TV has made this an escalating statistic.

3. My problem with these chases are the innocent bystanders
who may get killed.

Other approaches to catching these people need to be explored

4. When you run, you take your chances.
I have done it myself.

Personally, I believe that you get what you get.
