Senator Bill Clinton? "Top Dems" say he could be appointed to Hillary's seat if she wins Presidency
If Hillary Rodham Clinton wins the presidency, some top Democrats would like to see her husband, former President Bill Clinton, appointed to serve out Hillary’s unexpired Senate term.

“As a senator, he’d be a knockout,” said Harold Ickes, who was once a top White House aide to Bill Clinton and now gives behind-the-scenes advice to Hillary. “He knows issues, he loves public policy and he’s a good politician.”

Some Democrats and political analysts say Bill Clinton would thrive in the world’s greatest deliberative body, much like Lyndon Johnson did before he became president.

(Some say it isn't likely, though)

6. US Ambassador to the UN.............
Sounds like a good title for the Ex-President.

We'll need someone to reach out and try to re-build all the diplomatic bridges that w has burned.

President Clinton was rather likeable........

Still, he would just LOVE being in the senate.

12. I'm wondering about the constitutional details re: Bill and whatever he does IF
and that is a big IF Hillary becomes prez.
I also have mixed feelings. president for 8 years I feel like his time has come and gone and he and hillary need to move on and let lfe go on. They can't just keep thinking of how to keep running things. They need to move on in life.

But it really doesn't stand the test of reality. Not going to happen.

She will not be the Dem nominee let alone the next POTUS.

As will she.

And we will be better for it.

24. There might be some conflict-of-interest questions, though
Would he be "allowed" to disagree with the WH on something? Imagine the press if he did.

So, what exactly would be the point?

I'm not against former presidents running for Senate; Andrew Johnson did and Hubert Humphrey returned to the Senate after being Vice President. But while his wife is Prez? Sounds like a recipe for drama.

26. No, NY Governor is a Dem..
from the OP:

"Such a scenario is not beyond the realm of possibility now that the governor’s mansion in New York is occupied by a Democrat, Eliot Spitzer, who succeeded Republican Gov. George Pataki last month. If Hillary Clinton wins the White House, Spitzer would likely appoint a fellow Democrat to take over her Senate seat."

27. I think that would be great. I really doubt he would ever do it but I love
to listen to Bill talk about issues. He is so good at relating things to how they will actually effect people.

C-span 2 would be great but I also don't know how he could deal with being one of 100.

It is a fun fantasy.
