A group of left wing writers have hijacked the Half Hour News Hour
I have it on good authority that their plan is to write shows that are just dumb enough to keep the right wing nut jobs tuning in but it will never be a hit with anyone of any intelligence (kind of like Fox News). Some of the writers used to work for Walker, Texas Ranger.

The plan is to keep it around until the '08 elections as a reminder of how crazy these people are.

I just saw a clip and I believe with that material they will accomplish their goal.

1. They're calling it the Half Hour News Hour?
Isn't that a total rip-off of This Hour Has 22 Minutes?

2. Walker, Texas Ranger was written by lefties?
I highly doubt that.

4. It kind of diminishes the effect if you always have to use the sarcasm
symbol or a wink, wink.

10. Actually, a few of the dim bulbs
over at freepland believe that to be the case, according
to some of the posts I read there yesterday.

6. But Walker Texas Ranger was just too hilarious...
It couldn't have been the serious TV program it pretended to be.

3. here's a clip if you can stand it
These writers must be brilliant to be some of the funniest liberal comedy writers around but to purposefully be unfunny to keep conservative viewership up.

5. I saw a clip, too. Those writers are good. They're VERY good.
(Yes, I understood your post even if you didn't use the sarcasm thingie. Dunno why anyone wouldn't.)

7. This was suppose to be kept secret
Some one has disclosed the secret plot to make it clear that conservatives do not have a sense of humor

8. Posters on the "other site"
(Freak Republic) are actually speculating that the writers of Half-Hour News Hour are closet lefties who are trying to make the show really bad to make fun of conservatives. -- Wanet

9. If I was a wingnut, I would be trying to make that argument too.
Even they can't deny the fact that this show is really dumb.

13. Give the Freeps some credit--they're almost literate. It's the FAUX target
audience that didn't catch up to the joke--and boy, do we have plans in store for them!
