No matter how hard I try
I can't, just can't, warm up to Hillary. I'm not sure what it is exactly. Part of it is a general sense that she wants it every which way. I disliked her answer to Mr. Tilton's question last weekend in NH about her IWR vote. I'm not happy with her linkage of 9/11, no matter how abstractly, as a justification for that vote. I get no sense of sincerity from her; I really don't have a sense of who she is as a person or a leader no matter how carefully I listen to her, and I suppose that I really don't relish a return to the soap opera of the Clintons back in the WH. Whatever else she may be, I certainly don't see her as someone who can do anything but further divide an already fractured country.

Before anyone asks, yes of course I'll vote for her if she's the nominee. I only hope I can do so with more enthusiasm than I feel now.

I wish I could warm up to her. I'd love to support a woman for President.

1. readies popcorn

the pro-hillary crowd will be along soon to eviscerate you.

but, I am against choosing Clinton as the nominee for reasons I've stated before, so I support your reasons as well.
IMHO, the ONLY reason to support her is because she has a corporate warchest that would rival the repubs.
And that's not a very good reason in my book.

on the other side of the list, the reasons not to nominate her are legion.

Though my personal reason is that I don't think electing her will get us out of Iraq at all, and will likely embroil us in Iran, the same as if Shrub were in office. Possibly, she'd be a lot more efficient and competent in directing the wars, but I'd rather have no more preemptive wars at all, thanks.

I include Edwards in with that concern.

I will vote for whomever the nominee shakes out to be, but If Clinton is the nominee, I'll vote for her AND be holding my nose at the same time.

2. Really? You think my humble post is popcorn worthy?
I tried to fashion it in a manner that wouldn't invite ivective. I'd much rather get some thoughtful responses about why I'm wrong from some of those here who support her.

3. I think the media has has successfully brainwashed
many against her. They have been sniping at her for eons.

Years ago, I worked with someone that went to college with her.

They thought she was an amazing leader, even back then

My coworker loved to talk about Hillary's commencement speech and

her railing against the Vietnam war.

Personally, I think Hillary would be a great president

4. That may be true, but I don't base my opinion on her
on what the media says, and suggesting that people who don't find her a compelling candidate- and that includes the majority of DUers- are so simple minded that they're prone to brainwashing by the media, hardly makes a good argument for her, nor does it address the things I brought up in my OP.
