He did NOT say what he is being quoted as saying. This is the same kind of smear the right wing pulled on Kerry for his botched joke and the MSM did on Hillary with her "evil men" quote. You don't have to like the guy or what he stands for - that's fine - but mangling his quote and attributing things to him he didn't say is a smear and bullshit, whether it comes from the right or the left (and it's particularly ugly when it comes from my side of the discussion).
