General Election Clinton 46% Giuliani 43% Clinton 46% McCain 42%

Clinton 52% Romney 31%

Edwards 44% McCain 41%

1. A lot of maybe this and maybe that in these data.
One thing that seems striking is how McCain's star has dimmed.

Not to say he wouldn't have support in Ohio or elsewhere.

Just to mention that there's no inevitability to his nomination or candidacy.

At the moment he seems drugged up, in a kind of slo-mo re-enactment of what it is to be physically alive and mentally alert.

I am supporting Edwards but this is Al's if he wants it. And if he asked Richardson (probably the most qualified for the job in a long time) he would probably accept.

It is Gore's whenever he wants it.
