bush poll numbers hit a new low
you know, it's really not surprising at all that a strong majority of Americans disapprove of bush's performance.

but the really interesting part of this poll is how many want him to just be GONE! this should put an end to the argument that pursuing impeachment would be "politically risky" ... i'm all for starting with "investigations" but, when the evidence comes in, and it surely will, Dems need to be ready to take action and get rid of bush.

Bush Ratings Hit Another Low

President Bush's approval ratings hit an all-time low in the latest Newsweek poll -- 30% -- "and more than half the country (58%) say they wish the Bush presidency were simply over, a sentiment that is almost unanimous among Democrats (86%), and is shared by a clear majority (59%) of independents and even one in five (21%) Republicans. Half (49%) of all registered voters would rather see a Democrat elected president in 2008, compared to just 28% who’d prefer the GOP to remain in the White House."

2. Agree, but...
I don't think anyone is going to step to the plate and call for impeachment... besides, if his poll numbers are this bad come November of next year, we're in great shape!

3. Polls I would like to see
1) Who did you vote for in the 2004 presidental election? If you could go back in time and change your vote, would you? If yes, who would you vote for instead?

2) Do you think the President has committed impeachable crimes? Do you think there is enough evidence to support an impeachment? Do you think he should be impeached?

3) Do you think the Vice-President has committed impeachable crimes? Do you think there is enough evidence to support an impeachment? Do you think he should be impeached?

4) Do you think it would be better if the President resigned? Do you think the Vice-President should resign? Do you think they should both resign at the same time?

4. How the hell could anyone in their right mind prefer the GOP in the WHY?
I had no idea that 30% of our population were insane! :scary:

5. There's your Impeachment number -- 58% "wish it were over"
Not that anyone, least of all the "Ds," among the beltway bull-shiviks or the euphemedia will make the connection.

They'll likely just keep sucking that 2008HorseRace pacifier.

Hoping that maybe the bad, scary responsibility monster will stay under that tattered rug a little longer.
