streets..." You can't stop now! Get punning!!

(I love your, ah, simple linear style, shall we say.)

7. Needs a bit of refining, IMO.

Maybe I'm just being critical, but It's hard to get the joke, and when you do, it's not satisfying. I assume this is going for wordplay on Churchill's famous speech. It just doesn't flow for me; the pun is a bit of a stretch, and can't carry a whole comic. Now, if I were to do the idea, I'd make it more text-heavy. I'm hoping here that the sum force of mild puns (but mostly rhythmic parallels to Churchill's speech) will outline a contrast between Churchill's war of survival and Bush's war of politics, carrying the comic.

TITLE: "THE NEW CHURCHILL"

BUSH STANDING IN FRONT OF BANNER READING "SURGE."

"I will go on to the end, I will fight on TV and the papers , I will fight with growing confidence and growing strength on the airwaves, I will defend my legacy, whatever the cost may be, I will fight the impeachment, I will fight the indictments, I will fight in the House and the Senate, I will never surrender!"

Yours is a good start for a comic, but I'd go through a few more revisions (I'd revise my above concept two or three more times if I were serious about it). Comedy is hard work.

it. You made it. You did it! I started with one concept and didn't think very hard after that. Obviously I have no idea about comedy. But I felt like drawing it out..then I posted. And thanks for your commentary/criticism. It is helpful.

Yours has a quality all its own. I took it one direction, you're taking it another. I wouldn't stop making cartoons, though. You've got talent.

13. Reminds me of the SNL skits...
Do you remember the "court drawings"? They couldn't afford an artist to draw sketches of court scenes, so they drew stick people. Hilarious.
