I'm Boycotting Domino's Pizza
Just heard a guest reporter from (I think) the McClatchy Papers state on C-Span WJ that the founder of Domino's Pizza has signed on behind Sam Brownbeck's presidential campaign as a major financial contributor.
I never like Domino pizzas anyway.

is a full fledged bible totin', pro-birthin, and none of them evil stem cells neither fundie. He is reputed to be a major contributor to Focus on the Family and is at one time reputed to advocate giving those on food stamps surplus animal feed instead.

like when the day begins an S or ends with a Y.

At least I can respect Chik-Fil-a, who is also a fundy Christian business. They close on Sunday, even in airports.

22. "Life. What a beautiful choice!"
Monahan was the sponsor of those TV ads ca. 15 years ago that had a display of cute, little cherubs running around on the screen, selling them as the end product of foregoing abortion. (Yeah, like you're guaranteed a "perfect" child if you don't get an abortion . . . ) and he was (and still is) financing legislation that incrementally restricts access to be abortion via restrictions.

I stopped sponsoring Dominos Pizza years ago and when I make my own, it's my version of "Freedom Pizza", if you know what I mean.

Cardboard overpriced crap. We have one a few minutes from me. Probably changed ownership a couple of times over the last 20+ years. There are two regular pizza places within walking distance that do more business, one for over 25 years and right across the street.

Domino's was one of the primary and major funders of Operation Rescue, that bunch who thought attacking pregnant women outside clinics was god's work.

Monaghan has been a lavish funder of many religious right causes and candidates. No one is nuts enough for Monaghan. He's now building a theocratic town in Florida where he and others like him will be completely insulated from acknowledging the rest of us exist.

Plus, their pizzas really are terrible. I like my mother's description, "tomato flavored flannel."

Because when you're done eating the pie, if you're still hungry, eat the box. There is no difference in taste, texture or nutritional value.

In my neighborhood there are many local family-owned pizzerias. After while they get to know you, tip well, and your pizza is always fast, hot, fresh.

you'll hurt Tom Monaghan. He made his fortune and sold the company years ago.

AND I YELLED BECAUSE THIS SAME DAMN ISSUE IS RAISED AGAIN AND AGAIN ABOUT BOYCOTTING DOMINO'S.

I'd like people to DO THEIR RESEARCH before deciding to boycott a company. A boycott will always hurt a company's employees as well, usually more than it will hurt the owners, and that's something people don't seem to think about. If you organized a large scale boycott of your local Domino's, you'd be hurting a local franchise owner and local employees, not the company's current owners, and not Tom Monaghan.

I live in Mid Missouri, home of Shakespeare's Pizza. Frankly it is the best pizza that I've ever tasted, bar none, anywhere in this country. Not saying that there isn't someplace better, but I've been to Chicago, NYC, St. Louis, many places in "good pizza land" and have found none that live up to Shakespeare's. Don't believe me, well next time you're passing through Columbia Mo, stop and have some, you will be pleasantly suprised.
