Someone should have stopped this dangerous psychopath years ago after his first full-belly laugh over the frogs he blew up. Bush`s parents should have been plugged in enough to realize that aristocrats can also spawn monsters, especially when half the parenting team is a mother who doesn`t want her "beautiful mind" to be bothered about body bags produced by her own son`s war. Hillary may believe "It takes a village" but the Bushies apparently believe all it takes is a guaranteed free ride and a pledge to never say "NO."
What kind of Commander in Chief jokes with the media about not finding weapons of mass destruction, the very reason he gave for invading Iraq? "Nope. No WMDs under here." What kind of president jokes about "Wanted, dead or alive" or keeps Saddam`s pistol like it was something he won at a carnival? What kind of president would ignore a PDB that warned of potential harm to the United States because addressing it would interfere with his vacation? What kind of president, especially one who never completed his own National Guard responsibilities, would accept Rumsfeld`s habit of sending some troops to Iraq for the third, fourth or fifth time? Who in their right mind would look into a camera and declare "We`re winning in Iraq" when every shred of information showed otherwise? What kind of president would stubbornly adhere to -my way or the highway- on an issue as important as life and death? What kind of president, standing beside a VP who got five deferments, would infer that a decorated Vietnam Vet was weak on national security?
George W. Bush drags death around behind him like it was a sidecar on his mountain bike. He just kills things: international treaties, America`s image, the budget surplus, laws, people, habeas corpus. What he doesn`t kill, he maims: United Nations, Kyoto, clean air, Abu Gharib prisoners, college loans, stem cell research. There`s almost nothing in this country he hasn`t wrecked.
There is no excuse Bush could dig up, no promise he could make, no Bible he could swear an oath on, no speech he could mimic that would change my mind even one iota. George W. Bush should, at the very least, be impeached.
