Pawlenty uses illegal tactics? Who should Ocelot report this to???
The following was posted in the Minnesota forum by Ocelot. This clearly shows Pawlenty is using his official office to send out what is actually campaign literature, making it sound like they're replying to a request to their office. Most people probably consider it a mistake and just throw it away. Please message Ocelot information on who to report this to ASAP. See Pawlenty's Message:

When I got home I found in my mailbox a letter from Pawlenty on Governor's Office letterhead. It was addressed to me with my last name spelled wrong, but the correct address. Here's what Timmy had to say:

"Dear (Ocelot):

Thank you for contacting my office with your comments and concerns regarding abortion. Please know that I am committed to pro-life causes.

We value your input and will keep your thoughts in mind as my Administration moves forward.

Again, (Ocelot), thanks for contacting my office and for the opportunity to respond to your concerns. Active and thoughtful citizens like you make Minnesota a great state in which to live.

Sincerely, Tim Pawlenty
Governor"

The thing is, I've never contacted Pawlenty's office about abortion or anything else. So I'm kind of puzzled. Anybody else get one of these? I'm sort of tempted to write back and tell Timmy something like, "I'm an active Democrat, ardenly pro-choice, so why the hell are you writing to me? I think you and your Administration deeply suck. Sincerely, Ocelot."

1. State AG, State SoS, moveon and every 800 number available

That is priceless evidence... Save everything.

I told Janet tonight, these people are savages!

5. That's what I'm wondering -- if there are more of these.
I've been reading through the Minnesota election statutes, not sure if this kind of thing is covered. He didn't ask me to vote for him, and the issue (abortion) is one that I'm actually on the other side of. The fact that I'm a long-time Democrat would be known to his campaign since I've been a delegate or alternate to various district DFL conventions and my campaign contributions are a matter of public record as well. So there's no reason I can think of for being on a Pawlenty mailing list. Even so, I will keep the letter and see what I can find out about this.

6. if you keep your letter and others who have received one keep theirs ...
no one is going to be able to assess the situation, from a statewide perspective. I'm just suggesting, send a copy to Hatch, at least.

7. I'm definitely going to do that.
Spent some time researching MN election statutes this morning, not sure whether or how this is covered. Tomorrow I'll be contacting the AG's office. Too busy today.
