Did anyone hear Rush telling his listeners not to vote?
I just got back from town and it's all they're talking about at the feed store. They say Rush got po'd at so many Republicans that he finally just told his listeners not to vote at all on 11/7.

Anyone know if this is true?

If so, for the first time ever, I'll be wishing Rush good luck and powerful influence.

1. What a wonderful thing if true
That's why I don't mind all the media attention the "Foley scandal" has gotten (over war, loss or our freedoms...) ... if it contributes to right wing nut cases staying home on election day I'm all for it!

Geez.

Well, I hope they listen to their Dear Leader.

4. I'm giddy
The whole thing is freaking hilarious. The NYT article about how they're at their other's throats. Randi mentioned a couple more scandals that popped up today - one about the R running for Gov of Nevada assaulting some woman and another woman suing an R for not stopping his chief of staff from harassing her when she reported it. Now, Rush telling his folks not to vote.

I'd hope that one or more of the progressive talkers would play Rush doing that, but it would just tick him off and make him take it back.

Admins, we need a smilie for Snoopy's happy dance.

6. He knows it will be a poor showing. He wants to claim he did it.
Rush has always wanted to put himself in the center of the universe.

10. I think the explanation is very simple.
That way, he can say the Dems won by default...not by popular demand. It was not the will of the people that they win...naah...it was just that the people stayed home.

Sheesh.

11. Heard the same thing about Hannity...
he said that the ignorant shouldn't vote -- that covers his audience, and Rush's too.

21. Ah! Fortunately, his audience is too dumb to understand sarcasm
The guys who hang out at the feed store are all to the right of center, but they're not all morons. Apparently, whoever actually heard the show didn't get the sarcasm and just told them that Rush says not to vote. The conversation there was mostly how they do plan to vote, though several of them said they were NOT voting Republican.

16. Cut and Run Republicans
Their poll numbers are to low to hack without being blatantly obvious. Another reason, the problems they have created will take years to resolve. There isn't any good way out of Iraq, so Republicans will try to make the Democrats take the fall during the next election cycle. Mark my words, they will say "we would have won the war in Iraq, had we only stayed the course". I predict the next 90 days will be spent purging records, and covering their asses.

19. Rush is saying this . . . . .. . .
Hanitty has flipped his lid. He's telling Democrats to stay home, that their vote won't count anyways. Savage barely mentions politics anymore, at least when I have listened to him. This is as total a meltdown as we could have hoped for. I wonder if the landslide in the house is bigger than anyone is anticipating. I have reason to believe we are going to be very competitive in all three races in Nebraska and no one is even talking about those as potential pickups, for instance.
