I strongly believe that we will take back the congress this year. But it may to little to late. We are heading down the road of recession. Trying to stop that train right now will take a lot of work. The best we can hope for is a light blow.
Hasn't even clotted yet. We'll pay for the anger it engenders, because the US is seen as Israel's chief enabler. This is another kick in the teeth, we just haven't noticed it yet.
6. Hopeful - I've seen the tide turn before in '92
and it's turning now. I'm working as I was then to turn our Districts seat over to the Democrats. Even Tom Davis my evil Republican Congressman thinks that the Republicans will lose the House of Representatives. This is BIG! Things will start to happen for the better if the Democrats take control of one arm of the legislature. Imagine if the powerful Ways and Means campaign which handles all budgeting matters were in the control of a Charlie Rangel! Just think of the good we could do with this Committee's leadership back in our hands again. Minium Wage, National Health Care, you name it. We just have to work hard to take our country back!
No event of the last 6 years has made me more pessimistic than I was before. It's what I've always expected playing out before my eyes. Sometimes I think I fell asleep in the mid-1990s and I've been dreaming all this.
