McCain's son joins the marines
I have been steadily losing patience with McCain in the last two years but still this is kinda impressive:

I don't know of too many members of congress with kids serving...

1. I would withhold judgment until we see what his duty assignment is.
How many republicans do you know of joining the military unless dada got them a good gig.

2. I know. I posted this last night when I heard it on KGO radio news.
It seems his other son in attending the Naval Academy, and now this on has joined the Marines. I realize the McCain family history is very military, so that has a lot to do with the decision, but I really wish him luck. Marines are the ones that get thrust into the middle of the mess all the time!

3. Yeah
Every time I convince myself to hate the SOB he pulls some stunt like this. Just wish he would be consistent - either be the RW kiss-butt at Liberty University or be the stand-up patriot voicing contempt for Swift Boaters. Very confusing.

6. EWWWW
my eyes...my eyes

yeah no..I am not saying I think he is all that great. The isolated action is still something and though overall I think he is kinda a oppportunistic creep by now, some things he has done in the past (the POW stuff etc.) are good in a stand-alone sense...
