Does anyone else feel that our venture into Iraq in some way has helped to make what's going on between Israel and Lebanon possible? Or am I in "tin hat" region here?
Lets see democracy in the Middle East. We have Hamas being elected as government in palestine. Then we have a Shiite government being elected in Iraq. The USA sees Hamas as a terrorist organization. They see the Iraqi government being controlled by Theran when they leave because both are Shiite. Do you know that Bush originally did not want elections in Iraq because of this reason. But that the Iranian leaders pushed him to make this choice. I don't believe the Bush Administration wants diplomacy in the Middle East. They would like to go take over the oil fields for themselves.
3. Seemed that in the old days they kept everybody talking.

There were still suicide bombings, but war was a lot more remote. Jr really took a hostile I-don't-give-a-shit-about-you-unless-it's-on-my-terms approach that hasn't served us very well.
