Isn't it amazing how well Republicans are able to think down to a level
of stupidity that appeals to the unthinking masses?

Makes me wonder how intelligent Republican supporters really are . . .

Republicans tend to appeal to those who think that complex issues can be solved by mere bumper-sticker slogans.

It makes me wonder why 1000 piece (and more) puzzles sell . . . the general population reacts like they wouldn't be able to think on that level . . . or do they just buy the puzzle because of the pretty picture on the box?

1. Simple PR/Advertising psychology...
and so many are conditioned to accept it in a consumerist society.

2. I was watching Al Gore on Countdown
and realized why the election came down to one (stolen) State: Gore speaks (and thinks) in complete concepts rather than simple to parse "sound bytes." When advertising (and the money it requires) becomes the only way in which people are exposed to political thought then the simplest people and the people with the money will determine our political future.

3. Republicans spend a lot of effort appealing to hate groups
Hate is no longer exclusive to places like Stormfront and Aryan Nations these days.

Through writers like Charles Murray (Remember "THe Bell Curve") Steve Sailer (Published now by the Moonie owned UPI) and various other organizitions. They can now bridge the gap between hate groups and make their message seem main stream. Hence we have morons like Michelle Malkin, Lou Dobbs (caught many time relaying talking points from these folks) and Bill Oreilly gobbeling up tons of air time.

Their message of hate now seems like a "common sense" issue to millions of Americans.
