13. Illegal Immigration as an "issue" smells of KKKarl Rove.

About a month or 2 ago (before the whole immigration thing). There was a panel of 2 repubs, Randi Rhodes and Ed Shultz. One of these repubs said immigration is going to be the big issue going into November (lst time I heard that talking point). Ed immediately responded saying "oh no, I have been travelling thru the Midwest and health care is what is on everyone's mind."

Go figure.

Unfortunately it looks like, since Lou Dobbs' show is basically the Anti-Illegal Immigration Hour, the poll put illegal immigration at the top. I look to see Iraq moving up there soon enough.

Come to think of it, wtf is up with that? Illegal immigration is a process that has developed over the years (even decades) and we can put it off for a little while longer. American lives are at stake in Iraq. What's another 100 illegal immigrants in the next few weeks?
