Democrats should choose the most boring and least-controversial candidate
Why? Because then the right-wingers could not criticize him and that would give us the opportunity to pick up all those votes in the "middle". Besides, it is the Congress that passes the laws. So long as the President can hold a pen and sign his name, what more do we need? If we can get a President that is not controversial but is willing to sign whatever legislation is passed by a new Democratic Congress, why would you want someone else? Aren't oratory and passion and the ability to communicate with the people vastly over-rated anyway? What say we find the candidate that is the most boring and the least threatening to the right-wing? We can even pretend he is a Republican - so long as he signs our legislation. Wouldn't that be the smartest political move? :sarcasm:

23. When I need a good night sleep,
The sound of Kerry's voice is better than Prozac

And this is one right-wing talking point that is ABSOLUTELY TRUE.

Kerry is boring as hell.

It's an opinion, not a "RW talking point".

25. not trying to be rude, but I don't think you understand.
Any opinion, no matter how derived, if not in concert with establishment Democratic talking points, or unflattering to any Democratic Party personality or media figure, is de facto, a "right wing talking point".

29. I'll give you "pretty hot"...
...however, neither your admittedly angelic visage nor the "sizzle" you feel for an out-of-touch, monotone, 63-year-old career politician convince me that Kerry is anything other than a bore.

:hi:

also had a very long relationship with one of the greatest and most influential humorist of the last century - I think I have a grip on what makes for a compelling, substantive man from a woman's point of view - not a Cosmo woman, but a serious-minded woman who loves to laugh.

That narrows it to Jim Varney, Carrot Top, and Paulie Shore. Which one was it? :v)

Winona LaDuke, Nader's one-time running mate had little use for white man's culture -- except she had a special place in her heart for Ernest videos, which her kid loved. He will be missed.

36. He did appeal to little kids, I can attest to that. Another tidbit -
I recently discovered that the man I was involved with was a major influence on Stephen Colbert. Evidently, Colbert grew up on his stalk and slash style of black comedy.

37. Tastes differ.
Personally, I don't know anybody that doesn't generally find Kerry either boring or annoying...women included.

You no doubt "have a grip on what makes for a compelling, substantive man" from your point of view, but tastes differ.

4. No - think about it.
That's why the Peuks wanted Shrub. And he has delivered 100%. That's why the next GOP nominee will be George Allen - a puppet for the PNAC.
Of course I dont subscribe to that scenario; merely saying that it works in the Rovian era.

Being deep wasnt enough for Gore though, but perhaps this will be a better opportunity.

would be for the base to rise up and demand change. I`d like to gather up all the party`s political consulatants and swap them in for just one person with backbone. Enough already of the Wind Sniffers.

14. I'd vote for Russ Feingold tomorrow.
But he has engendered considerable controversy in the MSM by the courage of the stands he's taken, often standing alone. I would hate to see him further vilified in the press, which I'm afraid would become a feeding frenzy if he ran for president. Hillary Clinton is their favorite "liberal" poster child, and most of her views are centrist! IMHO, we need Feingold to concentrate his efforts where they're desperately needed, to continue fighting for us in the Senate.:patriot:

Then the corporate media meme would focus on how aful boring and non controversial the candidate is, and repeated and naseum.

By passing the town criers of the Noble Class is the only means of defeating these bastards.

Delivering Virginia along with West Virginia and winning some southern states like Arkansas, Louisiana and maybe Florida could swing a close election.
