2. He was the opening act and he did very well
Edited on Thu May-25-06 04:50 PM by Husb2Sparkly
I started a thread on it. He said a lot, but the thing I liked was starting the notion that the Repubs brought corruption not only to DC, but also to state governments. he didn't get to go too far down that road, but its out there now. I like that it nationalizes and perosnalizes corruption into everyone's back yard. That's a good thing.

edit ... not the opening act ... more like opening the second half hour.

its on again in an hour.

9. It's so true - when all the crap about Ohio coingate and pension funds, I
said then that it is just an example of how the GOP operates all over the country - they just got caught in Ohio - finally, after years of corruption.

Enron, Halliburton, every BushInc corporate crony, and the WH and the entire GOP are run from the same handbook. There is NO CHAPTER on ethics. They are THUGS.

5. This is confusing...is it 7:30 Eastern the prez is pre-empting?
From Hardball site

Chris Matthews hosts 'Hardball' tonight from 5-6 & 7-9 ET
President Bush and Prime Minister Blair are holding a press conference at 7:30. Watch tonight for analysis before and after from NBC's Tim Russert, DNC Chairman Howard Dean & MSNBC's Pat Buchanan.

So who is on when.

6. He was on after Russert. I was surprised as I hadn't heard about him
being on. Tweety, of course, played Hardball with Dean, but Dean did real good. Tweety is such a partisan. "What about "the honorable" William Jefferson"? He couldn't have said it with more venom. But Dean didn't take the bait.

I only wish when Tweety brought up "Clinton Sex" (I think he mentioned that angle about 6 times with all his guests tonight, Dean should have said, "no, lets talk about your sex life or maybe Rudi Guiliani's....shouldn't you be spending as much time talking about Rudi's infideities as much as your obsession with Clinton's?". It was a particularly revolting show tonight.

7. He was on at the bottom of the hour for 10-12 minutes.
They came back from the news update at 30 minutes past the hour and went to him for one relatively long segment.
