God , Country Gospel & Politics! (what a combination)

I saw The Fox Brothers at our County fair in S.W. Florida this year (Country Gospel group). Now I do love my County music & I love my Gospel music. Being Gay and Liberal really has been a dilemma for me. But I digress.

The reason I a posting this that in between songs they would talk about various things & to my astonishment they kept ripping on The asshole that occupies the White House, needless to say I really enjoyed this concert. At one point they even made reference to our Governor Bush (Florida) would like to run them out of the State with his broom.

I guess my point is just because your a little bit Country or have the Gospel move you so to speak doesn't mean your always a Republican Or if you are one that your still able to know right from wrong. They have renewed my faith that not all Country Gospel people are whacked!

P.S. I live in a almost total red county in Florida & their reception had mixed reviews. :). At least they gave some people some food for thought.

The Yahoos in Redland love Dear leader because he's done just about everything right as far as most of them are concerned. In fact from the wingnuterias pt. of view what's not to like about our new King? All the rest of us don't amount to a hill of beans to these folks anyway.

Bob Wills, and bluegrass, et al) cuts through the political BS and expresses its devotees pain and joy.

An awful lot of the music I grew up surrounded by would not be praising the current administration by any means.

6. Bush supporters aren't dumb so much as they're ill-informed....

and we need to keep that in mind so we'll start being more diplomatic about getting them to listen to us.
