2. Once again asking the wrong fracking question...
Should be "Have enough Generals complained enough for Bush to fire Rumsfeld?"...(since he listens to the troops and all.)

3. So we have again arrived at the point where
Edited on Fri Apr-14-06 10:57 AM by TayTay
the troops are hurting the troops. Those dang troops, so hell-bent for leather on letting themselves down. They really should try and cheer up, it would be good for their own morale.

Imagine, people who actually had to work with Rumsfeld and serve on the ground in Iraq might actually think Rummy is a doofus and incompetent. Geez, the nerve of these peasants, speaking back to their obvious betters.

:sarcasm:

4. it should help morale
The soldiers are finally hearing that someone is looking out for them. It's Rummy and Bush who are causing morale problems, with their failed policies.
What a stupid question MSNBC posed. Fox couldn't have it phrased it better for the damn administration.

10. This is what I sent them about their freakin question.
I think it's so pro-Bush lies that you ought to recall the question. This is how they/you manipulate the public...using the troops to get by with murder. They've gotten 2370 American soldiers murdered so far....do you think that affects troop morale?

7. The generals' disparaging remarks about Rumsfeld might give
soldiers and their families reason to reconsider their party affiliation.

It might make them more informed and therefor better voters next time.

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al lied to the entire planet about this war and men, women and children (I include both Coalition soldiers and Iraqi citizens) have died or been maimed because of those lies.

If 'morale' is the issue, I think it should be addressed at the level where the President of the United States is held accountable for lying through his treacherous teeth.

9. MSNBC back to business
after the slipup in the Bush impeachment poll. They must be experimenting with framing stilted questions because none of them are working. People are fed up and looking for anyway to express it.

Expect to see the equivalent of this type of question

Should the President be given the Medal of Freedom?

Yes.

No, it is too soon.

Not sure.

11. The Troops are there, they know what it's like.
They don't need to hear any news from over here for their morale to change. They see it over there, first hand, day in and day out. Knowing that there are people over here telling the truth, and fighting for them, likely makes them feel better.

They must hate Bush/Rumsfeld/Republicans.

12. The troops HATE IT when the brass is looking out for them
So those generals should stop dissing the incompetent civilian leadership at the Pentagon so the troops will know that they're dying and getting maimed for a good reason, and that good reason is whatever Rumsfeld says it is. Today. Tomorrow, there'll be another good reason for all the death and dismemberment. And another good reason the day after that.

How can your morale help but soar with so many good reasons for watching your comrades die?
