2. Don't they then elect
a new Majority Leader who could possibly not be Harry? I think there are probably several others who could do as good or better of a job.

3. Aren't there usually new elections when there's a new Congress?
I don't know, maybe that's just a Pub thing, but I thought there were new elections for Majority Leader, Whip, etc. when a new House and Senate took their seats.

5. Yes, but it is usually a rubberstamp vote, no real competition
...unless there is a scandal or a shakeup, like, say, the Leader or Whip LOSES their reelection.

10. That's succinct!
So he'll probably get elected (provided we have that option) though he might not if there's a vote. But there won't be a vote if they get elected! I think I've got it!

8. When (not if) .. WHEN.. we take over the senate in November...
...Senator Feingold will take over as our Majority Leader.

Not that it's necessarily time for "Give 'em Hell Harry" to step aside, but hey.. we gotta do what we gotta do.
