Damn that John Kerry still looks Presidential
I saw him on Tweety show being interviewed and he is still impressive. he made a lot of sense on his withdrawal plan on Iraq.

4. at the beginning of the interview they didn't have
Edited on Thu Apr-06-06 06:38 PM by OhioBlue
the video matched up with the audio for Kerry - they did for Blitzer, but they made Kerry look like he was talking in a Kung Fu movie.

Also - Blitzer is so transparent in his interviews. he interrupts Kerry and asks him combative questions, but allows republicans to give their propaganda sound bytes.

10. Heh...they've done that before.

11. They've done that to Kerry before.
That's how you know he hit Bush hard - and made too much sense for the viewer, so they HAD to screw up the video.

5. I thought of that too.
(Kerry happened to be on CNN at the same time.)

Has anyone done any polling on who Americans would like to be president right now, Kerry or Bush? Gore or Bush? I'll bet the chimp would lose to either of them at this point.

We're at the point now where new stories of Bush administration wrongdoing of some kind (from leaks to shoplifting, from illegal wiretaps to child molestation) come out each and every day, sometimes two in one day. Can you imagine three more years of this??

6. Very presidential.

Unfortunately, like Gore, he got very bad advice when he had his shot. The fact that he didn't know it while the whole Dem world (well, anyway, here at DU) was screaming for him to go after ChimpCo on Iraq. Now, a year and a half later, one hopes that he can remain this way through November when we're going to need his strong and eloquent voice.

9. Did Harding
have a clear command of the facts and presented rational plans for the country's problems, or did he just show a bit of gravitas and then let his corrupt friends run the whole show all while pushing tax cuts for the rich and slashing labor regulations?

Just wondering.

15. I keep thinking about that open mike where Kerry told those
factory workers "These are the biggest bunch of liars I have ever seen" (or something to that effect).

Was he right, or what?

16. You know who REALLY looked presidential? Gary Hart.
Edited on Thu Apr-06-06 07:49 PM by smoogatz
He was the real deal, too--smart, charismatic, articulate, and legally separated from his wife, to boot. And look what happened to him. At the moment, for my money, Russ Feingold is looking WAY more presidential than the rest of the dem leadership combined. But kudos to Kerry for producing a reasonable plan.

20. And by god the man speaks as if he's a president, too.
Dubya hardly speaks as if he's an adult, let alone a president.

Is anybody else sick to death of hearing George W. Bush's whiney voice?

22. Kerry does sound presidential. He's got the chops and cred for the job.
Now you might be thinking I say this in contrast to a certain incumbent of the White House.

And you'd be right!

26. He does look presidential at times. Too bad looks aren't everything
because unfortunately for him, it's highly doubtful he'll get another chance after that dreadful campaign of his.

Clark looks presidential, too, and I think he'd run a strong campaign if he got the nod. Then again, it's going to be hard for Clark to overtake Hillary and Edwards in the primaries, but you never know. Hopefully, someone new is still going to emerge out of the woodwork and take us by storm....get us into the WH. If not, I like the looks of President Clark myself.

Just sayin

27. Agreed! His "appearances" on MSM lately increase daily.
I'm embarrased to say I'm getting "addicted" again (as during the Campaign) to see him daily in the news.

For almost a year he was nearly invisible in MSM's scope. Now all of a sudden...he's baaaaaaack!!!

Go Johnny, go!
