Frist is the one to beat in Tennessee
Because of McCain's pull out, Frist is the one Dems have to beat.
I don't see how he can win but I didn't see how Bush could either.
Republicans will vote for him just so they won't lose.

1. Frist is a joke. He will never win the nomination. I wish he would.
I think it is probably between McCain and Allen.

7. You are just talking about the straw poll? Yeah, McCain pulled
out because Frist should win.

I posted this yesterday from the Hotline blog.

"Lott Says Straw Poll is Rigged

Sen. Trent Lott (R-MS) said he believes the Southern Republican Leadership Conference’s straw poll is “’a rigged deal’ and should not serve as a barometer to determine who might be the best candidate for the GOP presidential nomination in 2008,” reports CNN.

Lott accused Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) of bussing people in to influence the outcome of the poll.

The Hotline notes Lott is backing Sen. John McCain (R-AZ). "

Lott really hates Frist. heh heh.

"Quote of the Day

"Straw polls are entertaining, my friends, even extremely early ones. But I think we have bigger things to worry about. So if any friends here are thinking about voting for me, please don’t. Just write in President Bush’s name. For the next three years, with the country at war, he’s our President, and the only one who must have our support today."

-- Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), in prepared remarks obtained by Ankle Biting Pundits, before tonight's Southern Republican Leadership Conference straw poll. The Hotline has more.

3. I am rooting for Jeb. He would be the easiest to beat.
Even Hillary might be able to beat him.
