How many more excuses do they need to impeach the bastard?
Yeah, I know, we should probably wait until 2007, but my God, this latest revelation alone is enough to get the job done, let alone all the other legitimate reasons there are for impeachment.

In case some of you missed it, I'm talking about the video of where Bush is caught on tape lying about his awareness of the magnitude and scope of the impending Hurricane Katrina. "Duh, I didn't know nothing about it". Well the video shows you most certainly DID know something about it, you lying sack of shit. Who's to say how many hundreds of deaths in New Orleans this latest lie of his is responsible for? Zulchzulu posted a link to it in a thread yesterday.

There is also a video of Mayor Ray Nagin's response to the Bush video. If you haven't seen the Nagin one, you can see it (and also the Bush one, too, if you missed it) by going here: http://www.palmbeachpost.com/ The Bush one is the link that says "Warnings received" and the Nagin link is right next to it.

Anyway, how many reasons are there to impeach him now? Four? Seven? An even dozen? I've lost track. Maybe we shouldn't wait until 2007. Maybe we should try it now on just one of the charges and see what happens. If that one doesn't work, we nail him on one of the other reasons as soon as 2007 rolls around. There sure are enough to pick from.

1. His supporters will say he can't be impeached for just being "tone deaf."
How do you impeach for incompetence? And how do you impeach a whole administration?

2. 10,000 reasons wouldn't be enough because Bush's people
own the impeachment machinery. And, unless the crooked voting machine scam can be stopped they will continue to own all of the machinery of power permanently.

4. Doesn't he have to sodomize a cub scout
on the White House lawn first?

5. Well yes, but not just that.
It would have to be broadcast live, and the cub scout would have to scream a lot.

Then again if he had a permission slip from his parents...

7. it infuriates me that virtually no elected Democrats are calling . . .
for Bush's impeachment -- or even for an investigation to determine if impeachable offenses have been committed . . . just what in the hell to these people need? . . . Bush running naked through the Rose Garden in pursuit of a 10-year-old boy? . . . I mean, come on people! . . .

15. Nice Resolution Vermont!
If only these allegations get on the media with some discussion. To deny the allegations would be tough, in a real world anyway.

11. We have to have the votes first
Let's win back Congress in November. Then impeachment will be a piece of cake. Otherwise, there is always the Hague.

13. I was about to post something similar...
I honestly believe that he will never be impeached, and I don't think there is anything he can do that will get him to that point. I don't care how low his poll numbers go, with a Republican-dominated legislature, we don't stand a chance.

14. Will impeachment ever be possible in the future?
when the control of the congress is of the same party as the President? Likewise, will there ever be another scenerio where a President will avoid impeachment if the congress is held by the opposition?

18. Pelosi is not in favor of impeachment
Edited on Thu Mar-02-06 03:24 PM by paineinthearse
At least that is the sense I got from watching a press conference around noon.

She was asked to comment on the SF city council resolution (no opinion, "I am not a counselor or mayor").

She was asked if she favored impeachmement, she rejects it.
